Emile is a cloud engineer at Development Seed. He works on the Multi-Mission Algorithm and Analysis Platform (MAAP), a NASA digital platform designed to ingest, visualize and analyze large amounts of biomass-related earth data.

Emile believes in empowering scientists with software, specifically regarding environmental monitoring. He has experience researching the impacts of climate change using empirical approaches and providing scientific computing support. Before Development Seed, Emile was a Data Engineer for the Rhodium Group and a Pre-Doctoral fellow for the Climate Impact Lab at the University of Chicago. He received a master’s degree after graduating from the Paris School of Economics.

On the weekends, you may find him tasting specialty coffee, lap swimming at his neighborhood pool, or simply daydreaming.
